Beef Stroganoff 

Beef Stroganoff  is a Russian dish of sautéed pieces of beef served in a sauce with smetana (sour cream). From its origins in mid-19th-century Russia, it has become popular around the world, with considerable variation from the original recipe.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg of meat
  • 3 medium onions
  • 1 glass of champignon or heart of palm
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 cans of cream
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped skinless and seeded
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 meat bouillon cube dissolved in 100 ml of water

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a pan, add the oil, meat, onion, tomatoes, broth and cook for 20 minutes
  2. Add the ketchup and the champignon and cook until obtaining a consistent and creamy sauce
  3. Turn off the heat and add the cream without serum
  4. Stir until the sauce is incorporated into the cream
  5. Put in a refractory shape and garnish with seasoning and straw potato
