Beef Stroganoff
Beef Stroganoff is a Russian dish of sautéed pieces of beef served in a sauce with smetana (sour cream). From its origins in mid-19th-century Russia, it has become popular around the world, with considerable variation from the original recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 kg of meat
- 3 medium onions
- 1 glass of champignon or heart of palm
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 cans of cream
- 3 tomatoes, chopped skinless and seeded
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 meat bouillon cube dissolved in 100 ml of water
DIRECTIONS
- In a pan, add the oil, meat, onion, tomatoes, broth and cook for 20 minutes
- Add the ketchup and the champignon and cook until obtaining a consistent and creamy sauce
- Turn off the heat and add the cream without serum
- Stir until the sauce is incorporated into the cream
- Put in a refractory shape and garnish with seasoning and straw potato
