Blueberry and Gooseberry Pie
A pie is a baked dish which is usually made of a pastry dough casing that covers or completely contains a filling of various sweet or savoury ingredients.
Ancient Greeks are believed to have originated pie pastry.
INGREDIENTS
DOUG
- 200g of flour
- 110g butter (room temperature, soft)
- 60g of sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
FILLING
- 200g of blueberry
- 200g of gooseberry
- 100g of melted butter
- 3 eggs
- 70g of sifted sugar
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
DIRECTIONS
DOUGH
- Mix the flour, the softened butter, the salt and the sugar.
- Put in refrigerator for one hour
- Grease the pie baking pan and spread the dough
- Pierce the dough lightly with a fork
- Put in refrigerator for 30 minutes
FILLING
- Mix the melted butter, sifted sugar and corn syrup
- Add the eggs and mix well
- Add the fruits and mix gently
ASSEMBLY
- Remove the dough from the refrigerator
- Place the filling
- Take to bake on a preheated oven on 180 °C for 40-45 minutes
- 4- Let cool and serve
