Blueberry and Gooseberry Pie 

A pie is a baked dish which is usually made of a pastry dough casing that covers or completely contains a filling of various sweet or savoury ingredients.

Ancient Greeks are believed to have originated pie pastry. 

INGREDIENTS

DOUG

  • 200g of flour
  • 110g butter (room temperature, soft)
  • 60g of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt

FILLING

  • 200g of blueberry
  • 200g of gooseberry
  • 100g of melted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 70g of sifted sugar
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup

DIRECTIONS

DOUGH

  1. Mix the flour, the softened butter, the salt and the sugar.
  2. Put in refrigerator for one hour
  3. Grease the pie baking pan and spread the dough
  4. Pierce the dough lightly with a fork
  5. Put in refrigerator for 30 minutes

FILLING

  1. Mix the melted butter, sifted sugar and corn syrup
  2. Add the eggs and mix well
  3. Add the fruits and mix gently

ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the dough from the refrigerator
  2. Place the filling
  3. Take to bake on a preheated oven on 180 °C for 40-45 minutes
  4. 4- Let cool and serve
