Farofa
Farofa is a toasted cassava flour mixture. It is eaten mainly in Brazil. This dish usually accompanies feijoadas and barbecues.
INGREDIENTS
- 1kg of cassava flour
- 150g butter
- 150g of calabrese sausage
- 150g bacon
- 6 eggs
- salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
- Cut sausage and bacon into small cubes
- Melt the butter and then add the flour, stir until golden brown and reserve
- Sauté the bacon and the calabrese sausage (it does not need oil as the bacon releases fat) and reserve
- In the same frying pan (still with the fat of the bacon), fry the eggs and stir well until dry
- Add the other ingredients and stir well to mix
