Jack Daniel's Barbecue Sauce
A good sauce to use with meat, very tasty.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small chopped onion
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 cup of Jack Daniel's
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2¼ cups of ketchup
- ¼ cup tomato paste
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
- ⅓ Cup of Worcester sauce
- ¾ cup of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of Tabasco (or more if you like it spicier)
DIRECTIONS
- In a large frying pan, saute the onion and the garlic in the olive oil
- When the onion begins to get translucent, add the wiskey
- Let the whiskey cook / reduce approximately ¼
- Add the other ingredients. Mix well.
- Boil for 20 minutes.
- Pass everything trough the blender, or use a mixer or processor.
- The sauce is ready to use, or be refrigerated to use in the next days
