Quindão

Is a popular Brazilian baked dessert, made chiefly from sugar, egg yolks, and ground coconut.

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 ml of coconut milk
  • 3 egg whites
  • 6 sifted egg yolks (without pressing with the spoon not to smell like egg)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup of grated coconut

DIRECTIONS

  1. Put everything in the blender and beat until smooth
  2. Pour into a greased and sprinkled with sugar pudding form
  3. Bake (180ºC) in bain marie  covered with foil for 40 minutes
  4. Remove the foil and keep in a bain marie for another 30 minutes
  5. Wait it to cool and then put in refrigerator for 2 hours
  6. Unmold and sprinkle grated coconut on top
