Rösti Potatos
Rösti is a Swiss dish consisting mainly of potatoes, in the style of a fritter. It was originally a breakfast dish, commonly eaten by farmers in the canton of Bern, but is now eaten all over Switzerland and around the world.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 medium or large potato
- 250 g of ham
- 250 g bacon
- Olive oil
- 1/2 cup of creamy cheese
- salt
DIRECTIONS
- Cook the potato for 7 minutes, then remove and reserve
- Wait cool and put in the refrigerator overnight
- The next day, grate the potato in slices as if it were straw potato
- Reserve in water, otherwise the potato will turn dark
- I have a double frying pan, which makes it easy to turn the potato, but if you do not have it at home, use a plate
- Bake the bacon
- Place a little potato in the bottom, with a bit of olive oil and let it brown for 5 minutes
- Meanwhile put the filling, the Creamy cheese first to support the bacon and the ham
- Cover with more potatoes
- After 5 minutes turn the side to the golden potato on the other side
- Add another bit of olive oil and leave it for the same period
