Yasai to Chikin
Yasai to Chikin (野菜とチキン) literally means chicken with vegetables.
INGREDIENTS
CHICKEN
- Fillet of Chicken Breast - 400g.
- Salt - 1 tea spoon
- Red Pepper - 2
- Chives - 3 stems
- Celery - 1 stalk
- Carrot - 1 (small)
- Ginger - Little
- Moyashi - little
- Onion - 1
- Frying oil
SAUCE
- Vinegar - 1/2 cup
- Sake - 1/4 cup
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Shoyu - 2 tablespoons
- Aji-no-moto - little
DIRECTIONS
- Season the steaks with salt. Leave for 30 minutes.
- Bread with wheat flour or cornstarch.
- Remove the seeds from the peppers and cut into small slices.
- Onion, celery, carrot cut into strips of 3 - 4 cm.
- Fast boil (separately), moyashi and carrot.
- Cut the ginger into thin slices, then into strips.
- Prepare the sauce in another bowl.
- Fry the steaks in hot oil.
- Put the fried fillets in the sauce and add the vegetables.
To serve: on a platter, place the vegetables and on top the sliced steaks and the sauce.
